Ütz B’ey Guatemala walks alongside children from preschool to young adulthood through education, health care, and community support. But we don’t do it alone. Grassroots fundraising is at the core of what keeps our programs alive and growing.
When you host a fundraising event, you’re not just raising money, you’re raising awareness, building community, and inviting others into a story of dignity, hope, and opportunity.
Ask friends to donate in your name instead of giving gifts. Just like Catie Curtis did for her 60th, raising $5,500!

Host your friends and cook your favorite meals all for a good cause. To celebrate her 49th birthday Gin Nielsen threw a backyard potluck party with all her friends and family and raised money to donate!
Brush off those trainers and reach a personal and fundraising goal. An event doesn't even need to get you sweating. Our youngest fundraiser EVER might be Westley, who at only nine years old set up a lemonade stand and shared his proceeds to help the children of Aldea Chivarabal!
Use your creativity for good. Christina Platt, founder of Bamboletta Dolls, made seven sets of twin dolls and held an online auction in support of the project!
Spread the word and raise money through your network. Aliya’s grade 5/6 class at Roberts Creek Elementary School raised money by hosting a bake sale, having a hockey shoot out and by selling mystery boxes to fellow students!
Combine a fun hobby, friends and fundraising. Grade three students from Glenlyon Norfolk School in Victoria planted tomato seeds and sold the seedlings to raise money for a fundraiser!
